Obituary for Timothy Andrews

Timothy Andrews
Timothy Scott Andrews, 38, of Charleston, died Tuesday October 3, 2017. Tim, the beloved son of Carl and Nancy Andrews, was born May 4, 1979.

Also surviving are his sister Amy (Nate) Tawney; brother, David (Colleen) Andrews; and nephews, Dylan, Aidan and Ethan Andrews, and Gage and Colton Tawney, all of Charleston.

Tim was a 1997 graduate of Capital High School, where he played football and baseball. He earned a B.S.B.A. degree in Finance from West Virginia University in 2004. While at WVU, he was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity.

Tim was known as a kind person, whose compassion and good nature resulted in many lifelong friendships, which he cherished. He was an avid reader. He was especially close to his five nephews, who thought of their Uncle Timmy as another big brother. Tim was a lifelong Mountaineer fan and a loyal follower of the Cincinnati Reds and the Dave Matthews Band.

A memorial service will be held Monday, October 9, at Christ Church United Methodist, 1221 Quarrier Street, Charleston. Visitation will begin at the church at 10 a.m., followed by the service at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney.

Following the burial, friends and family members are invited to gather at 2 p.m. at Recovery Sports Grill, 600 Virginia Street, East, Charleston, to celebrate Tim's life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Society at adoptcharleston.com/give.
