Donald "Don" McNaire Idleman, 83, of Pinch went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.

Don was a retired Chief Master Sergeant with the WV Air National Guard for over 41 years, and was WVANG Airman of the Year in 1979. He was involved in Elk District Little League Baseball for many years; and after retirement he volunteered at Pinch Elementary for 19 years. Don loved to go hunting and fishing with family and friends. He loved watching and going to Cincinnati Reds and WVU Mountaineer games.

He is preceded in death by his parents Clyde McNaire Idleman and Ila Bertha East Idleman; brother, Gene William Idleman.

Don is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Iris Jane Idleman; daughter, Deborah Ann Buckner and husband Randy of Pinch, son, Michael McNaire Idleman and wife, Donna of Pinch;. Grandchildren, Matt (Amanda), Becky (Michael), Michelle, Lindsay (Colt); great grandchildren, Kaleigh, Camron, Wesley, McKinley, and Baby Girl Paxton due Oct 24, 2017.

Service will be 2:00 pm Monday, August 7, 2017 at Elkview Baptist Church with Pastor David Keeney, Pastor Bobby Sizemore and Pastor Clint Chiles officiating. Burial will be at Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney with military graveside rites conducted by the Honor Guard with WVANG.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm Sunday, August 6, 2017 at the Elkview Baptist Church and one hour prior to the day of the service at the church.
