Richard Dale Milam, 70, of Elkview, went home to be with our Lord on June 30, 2017. He was born April 14, 1947 to Elsie and the late George Milam.
Richard was a devoted, faithful Christian and was a member of Elkview Baptist Church for over 40 years. He was a loving, kind, and generous family man. Richard was employed as a carpenter crew leader for 28 years with Kanawha County Schools and loved to serve people. His hobby was assisting those in need.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Sandra Kay Milam; son Travis (Jackie) Milam of Clemmons, NC; daughter Ruth Ann Milam of Elkview, WV; mother Elsie Milam of Coopers Creek, WV; brothers David (Charlene) Milam of Kelly, Iowa; Bill (Darlene) Milam of Charleston, WV; sister Anna Lea Lynn of Coopers Creek, WV, Janet Rogers of Robertsville, Missouri, Mary (Harley) Rogers of Robertsville, Missouri, Lois (David) Pendleberry of Coopers Creek, WV; grandchildren Micah, Jonah, Isaiah; special grandchild Sarah Moles; brother-in-law Don (Connie) Jarrett of Noblesville, IN and many nieces and nephews.
A service honoring Richard's life will be 11am Tuesday, July 4th at Elkview Baptist Church with Pastor Clint Chiles and Pastor Bobby Sizemore officiating. Visitation will be 6pm-8pm Monday, July 3rd at the Church
Burial will follow in Carte Cemetery, Coopers Creek with Military Rites conducted by American Legion Post 61, Clendenin.
