David Earl Reese

David Earl Reese, 76, of Clendenin, passed away Monday, June 05, 2017 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV.

He was born January 30, 1941 to Clermont and Dessie (Myers) Reese in Charleston, WV. He served his country for 8 years in the U.S. Army and retired after 25 years with General Telephone Company.

David had a passion for the outdoors, camping, hiking and traveling the country on his Harley Davidson. He showed us that hard work and integrity were to be valued and adventures were to be had. He was a loving father, papa, and friend to many. In his own words, he lived a great life.

David is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Paul Reese and survived by his son, David Earl Reese II; daughter, Winsome (John) Reese Huffman; brother, Bernard Reese; and grandchildren, Haley and Ryder Huffman.

A special thank you to the Huntington VA Hospital and Hubbard Hospice House for providing wonderful care during his final days. Memorial donations to either facility may be made in David’s honor.
