Herbert T. Withrow, 87, of Elkview, went home to be with the Lord and his lovely wife Bonnie, after a short illness on Monday May 15, 2017 at CAMC General. He was surrounded by his loving family.

He was born November 13, 1929 in Elkview to the late Okey H. Withrow and Effie M. (Strickland) Withrow.

He was retired from the US Postal Service of Charleston.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife Bonnie and two sons-in-law's Jim Smith and Jeff Shafer; sisters Alvie Shafer, Mattie Shafer, Dorothy Worrell Brooks, Marie Meckley Groot; brothers Jack, Ronald (Pad) and Arnold (Jim).

He is survived by his daughters Sheila Shafer, Sherry Casto, and Candy Baldwin all of Elkview, Ruth Marie (Tom) Smith, of South Charleston; sons David Withrow, of Clendenin and Rita Mace Withrow of Elkview, Daniel (Carolyn) Withrow and Robbie (Toby) Withrow both of Elkview; brothers Charlie Withrow of Elkview, and Paul Withrow of Lutz Fl, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild on the way. Numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Service will be 4:00pm Thursday, May 18 at Hafer Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Stewart and Pastor Bob Jett officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Blancet - Withrow Cemetery, Wills Creek.
