Kenneth Edward Burns,

Kenneth Edward Burns, 65, of Charleston, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017, at CAMC General Hospital, NISCU.

He was a cross country trucker for Munchins-Heartland Trucking Co. for over twenty years and drove a mail truck. He enjoyed to fish, hunt, and boating and he loved just being outdoors.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, Edward M. Burns and Leona Mae Gibson; wife, Emma Atkins Burns; brother, Darrel "Rocky" Burns, several aunts and uncles.

He is survived by Peggy Miller, Campanion of twenty-one years, sister, Irma Lou (Gale) Parker of Summerville, S.C.; brother, Tom Burns of Morganton, N.C.; daughter, Mary DiToto of Walton; step-daughters, Terri Gail and Barbara Lynn; grandchildren, Tommy DiToto of Elkview and Jennifer Holmes of Fl., and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Services will be Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at 12:00 PM, at Hafer Funeral Home, with Pastor Lee Swor officiating. Burial will be at Montgomery Memorial Park.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
