James Lester Anderson, Sr.

James "Jim" Lester Anderson Sr., 73, of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord, March 15, 2017 with his family by his side.

Jim was born at Pinch Ridge, to the late Lucy Mae Anderson. He was a loving son, husband, father, and grandfather. Jim retired from Walmart, but was well known on the Elk River as the butcher for Roger's Grocery, in Pinch. Jim was a very hard worker and loved his family.

Jim is also preceded in death by his loving wife for thirty-five years, Judith Anderson and brothers, Robert and Bill Anderson.

Jim is survived by son, Jim II (Melinda) Anderson ; daughter, Courtney (Charles) Packard; grandchildren, William, Elizabeth, Phabian, M.J., and Sione; and sister, Betty (Ron) Gregory.

Service will be 2:00 PM Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Hafer Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Following the service burial will be observed at the Morris Cemetery, Pinch.
