Danny "Dan" Beard, 68, of Pinch passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Born May 26, 1948, he was the son of the late Edison Beard and is survived by his loving mother, Polly Beard of Pinch, son, Andrew (Miranda) and granddaughters, Aubree and Ella of Marmet, stepdaughter, Nikki Mazzella Vance of Orlando, Florida; sister, Linda (Bill) Cavender of Pinch and several nieces and nephews.

Dan was a Christian, an avid hunter and fisherman all of his life and a die-hard Mountaineer fan. Before his illness he owned and operated wildlife in motion and was an award winning taxidermist.

Service will be 2:00 pm Monday, Jan. 30, 2017 at Hafer Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Todorovich officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home.
