Thomas Jackson Bowling, 70, of Elkview, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017 at Cleveland Clinic.
He worked for McDonald Douglas Corporation and was a US Navy veteran. Thomas loved working on computers, going to flea markets. He loved his animals, leaves behind two dogs and a parrot. He enjoyed volunteering at the Clay Center and more than anything helping people any way he could.
Thomas is preceded in death by parents, Thomas Jackson Bowling, Sr. and Elva Kathryn Haynes Bowling; sister, Jean Langston.
He is survived by his sisters, Alice (Fred) Starr of Elkview, Jamie Gibson, Ormand Beach, Fl, Amy Schnieder of Hawaii; cousin, Jerry L. Hash of Elkview; nephew, Matthew Starr of Elkiew; niece, Kara Starr(Jeremy) King of Amma, Kimberlyn Starr of Elkview; grandnephew, Hunter Starr; God daughter, Katherine "Katie" Bright of Elkiew.
Service will be 11:00 am Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017 at the Hafer Funeral Home, with Pastor Ray Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Hughart Family Cemetery, Aarons Fork.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm Friday, Jan. 20, 2017 at the Hafer Funeral Home, Elkview.
