Margie A. Butcher, 87, of Big Chimney, passed away January 13, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

Margie was born in Charleston, WV to Cecil and Virginia Taylor Teel. She worked for the Diamond Department Store. She made the most wonderful Coconut Cream and Graham Cracker Pies.

While raising her family she was active in Church, community and school activities including Homeroom Mother, PTA President, 4-H club leader, band boosters, Sunday School Teacher, church treasurer, and she was a caregiver for elderly family and friends.

She was a faithful member of Hanson Chapel, Mill Creek.

Margie was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Dennis; daughter, Phyllis, brother, Walter and sister, Betty.

Margie is survived by sons, Keith, Randy and wife Priscilla; daughter, Lisa and husband Chris; sister-in-law, Shirley; grandchildren Kristen and Jason; and special great granddaughter, Amelia and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be 12:00 pm Monday, January 16, 2017 at the Hafer Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Smith officiating. Burial will be at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm Sunday, January 15, 2017 at the funeral home.
