George Richard "Dick" Garrison died peacefully at home on Friday, July 29, 2016.

He was born in Mt. Vernon, Illinois on December 14, 1933, to Roy and Wilma Garrison. He grew up there, met the love of his life, and was transferred to WV in 1962 while working for Halliburton Services. He came to love WV, and became an avid golfer after his retirement from Halliburton.

Dick is preceded in death by his daughter, Laura Michelle Garrison. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Sharon Garrison, his son Jeff (Susie) and three grandsons, Trevor, Cody, and Logan Garrison.

Graveside services will be held at Oakwood Cemetary, Mt. Vernon, IL on Thursday, August 4.
