Rosalee Taylor Gray
Rosalee Taylor Gray, 89, of Elkview, formerly of Clay, passed away peacefully at home on May 31, 2016. She was the eldest of the late Elva and French Taylor. Rosalee owned and operated "The Kitchen Restaurant" in Clay for over 30 years. She was well known for her good home cooking and awesome pies. She loved being with family and friends, and she will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arley; daughter, Joyce Cunningham; and brothers, Alex and Bill Taylor.
Left to cherish her memory are son, James Gray and wife Connie, of Myrtle Beach SC; daughter, Sharon Kelley and husband, Bill, of Elkview; son-in-law Jerry Cunningham of Ivydale; sisters, Noda Gay of Surprise, Arizona and Betty Murphy of Clay; special sisters-in-law Evelyn Taylor of Charleston and Nina Gray of Strasburg, Ohio; six grandchildren- Melissa Kelley, Amy Swedock, Brian Cunningham, Sara Sak, Justin Gray, and Marcus Gray; and four great-grandchildren-Chase Gray, Bella Gray, Ethan Cunningham, and Emily Sak.
Services will be 1:00pm, Saturday, June 4, at Jarrett Memorial Methodist Church in Elkview, with Pastor Danny Kinder officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Clay Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice Care, 1606 Kanawha Blvd. W. Charleston, WV 25387.
