Sherree Renee Nelson passed away peacefully in her sleep, Friday, April 2016.
She was born in South Charleston, WV on October 4, 1956 to Ralph and Sarah Nelson

She attended Colin Anderson Training Center from 1963-1975. She worked over the following years at Wooden Thread, Old Faith and Shawnee Hills Rehab Center. She was a member of McKinnon Memorial Presbyterian Church. She received many medals and ribbons during
her participation in the Special Olympics and also won the John f. Kennedy Physical Fitness Award.

Sherree has lived in Newport News, VA for the past 16 years and enjoyed of of her new friends and activities during those years. She joined Tabernacle Baptist Church in 2004.

Sherree was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Michael Jerome Nelson. She is survived by her siblings Pat and John Jarvis, Scott Depot, WV, Richard and Rosalie Couch, Newcomberstown, OH, Susan Carroll Foster, Big Chimney, WV, Sharleen Poff, Warren, Missouri,
and Gerri and David Hildebrand, Newport News, VA. She loved her 8 nieces and nephews, 12 great nieces and nephews and 2 great-great nephews and 1 great-great niece.

The family would like to thank all of the "Blue Team and Red Team Friends" who have helped us to care for Sherree over the years making her life special.

A graveside service will be 1 PM held Monday, April 18, 2016 at Tyler Mountain Memorial Gardens
