Raymond Vance, 87, of Charleston passed away December 30, 2015 at CAMC General Hospital.

He was born October 1, 1928 to the late George and Lexie Pearl Smith Vance. Raymond loved his family and was a beloved father and grandfather. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed working in his garden. He was employed by Kanawha County Parks and Recreation.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Edith Light Vance; sons, Raymond (Linda L.)Vance Jr., Jerry (Linda C.)Vance, Daniel (Anet) Vance; sisters, Shirley (Jim) Fields, Nancy Gilmore, eight grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Service will be 1:00pm Saturday, January 2, 2016 at the Myers Chapel of Hafer Funeral Home with Rev. Tommie Taylor officiating. Burial will follow the service at Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
