Robert (Bobby) Lynn Valentine
Bobby Valentine 54, was surrounded by his loved ones when he passed away, December 25, 2015 at CAMC Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
He is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Rachel Belt Valentine and a grandchild Lillian Abner.
He is survived by the love of his life of thirteen years, wife, Terry Davis Valentine of Charleston; children Taylor Valentine, Marissa (Michael) Abner and Krista Cowden all of Charleston and Nyoka Nichols of Elizabeth, WV; grandchildren Kailynn, Addison, Jacob, Raelyn, Ava and Eli; siblings Allen (Terri). Jeff (Amy), Joe (Bonnie), Beckey Shears (Garland) of Elizabeth, WV and several nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. Bobby is also survived by extended family his children Bobby, Daniele, and Bill and several extended grandchildren.
Bobby was an amazing husband, brother, father, and grandfather. He was a man who never met a stranger, always had a joke to tell and a smile on his face. He was a brother of the IBEW Local 466 for over 35 year, and a dedicated WVU Mountaineer Fan.
It is impossible to sum up this great man's life in only a few words but those who were lucky enough to meet Bobby knew he was full of love, compassion and knowledge. He had such a big heart and will be missed by everyone.
A service honoring Bobby's life will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, December 29 at Hafer Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Long officiating. In honor of Bobby being a avid WVU fan feel free to wear a WVU shirt. The family requests that casual attire be worn for the funeral service. Burial will follow the at Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney. Visitation will be 6-8pm Monday, December 28, 2015 at the funeral home.
