James R. Yoak
James R. Yoak, 65, of Elkview went home to be with the Lord Thursday, September 12, 2013 after a long illness.
He was retired from Rock Ten Corp out of Taylorsville, NC and also the WV Labors Local. He was a member of Leatherwood Missionary Baptist Church. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family hunting and fishing. He liked to work in the garden and tend his apple trees.
He is preceded in death by father, James R. Yoak; mother, Velma Jones Yoak; brother, Donald Yoak; Sisters, Joyce Anne Yoak, Vic Stricker.
He is survived by his

His beloved dog and best friend “Buddy” and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 4:00 pm Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013 at the Hafer Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Underwood officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Graveside service will be on Monday, Sept. 16, 2013 at the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar. Anyone wishing to attend the graveside service may contact the funeral home for the time of the graveside service.
